Highly recomend, built to simply push alot of power. Nothing fancy about his machine, it is a work-aholic. 1000sq/ft house runs all 110v lights and apliances together with out draging or overloading the generator. 1 pull crank and will always be there when I need it. -- Quality Generator
Since I live in a very rural area, the electric service is interrupted quite often due to fallen trees, etc..
There are very few residence in this area, therefore we are the last people to receive help in an emergency. This portable generator does the job of providing electric service to almost my entire house. I don't worry about food spoiling or lack of water anymore.
Great investment. -- Portable generator -- great machine
This is a good generator, but I should have spent a little more money to buy one that is quieter. These generators are good for construction sites, but not for a residential neighborhood. Very noisy!!! -- Good generator, BUT...
Recently purchased this generator prior to the ice storms in the mid south. Set up was very easy, and starts remarkably well and easy for a 10HP engine, and starts on the first pull, even w/ temps below 20F. Noise level is as expected for a 10HP engine, similar to a small riding lawnmower. Has no trouble keeping up w/ our demands, ranging from fridge/freezer, large microwave, small appliances, lights, dishwasher, and even washing clothes when desparate (although electrical loads may need to be rotated on the larger items). Fuel tank capacity is very good, and will last 12+ hours if not on a heavy load.
Overall, and excellent generator for the money. -- Suprisingly good generator.
The Elite Series generator is designed to be a home use workhorse, and the build quality is superb. After reading up a little on the plus/minuses of the various Chinese "MAX" generators, I am glad to spend a little more to know that I have a trustworthy power source season after season. I have not had a power outage yet (being proactive), but it is obvious now that winters are turning colder in North America, and folks need to be ready. I used Mobil 1 synthetic oil and added Sta-bil to the gas, and have check started it on a regular basis. It is a one-pull operation in below freezing weather. The Briggs & Stratton has a sleeved cylinder which makes the engine itself good for many more hours than the cheaper all aluminum construction imports when maintained properly, and more resistant to failure from heat & oil breakdown for those who tend to neglect things like that. -- You get what you pay for
